In Bills Head Coach Sean McDermott’s final press conference before the teams Wild Card game against the Indianapolis Colts Saturday, he still had no answer for the injury statuses for receivers Cole Beasley and Stefon Diggs.
Neither were a practice participant in the teams Wednesday’s walkthrough. Cole Beasley left the week 16 matchup against the Patriots with an undisclosed knee injury that has been listed as “week to week”. Stefon Diggs sustained an oblique injury possibly in the week 17 win over the Miami Dolphins. McDermott was asked about Diggs Tuesday’s press conference response to the injury where he said “I’m fine, don’t believe everything you read”.
Sean’s response was “Any time a player is in the training room I’m concerned” but would not elaborate anymore on the injury. From the outside looking in it seems like Cole Beasley is trending towards not playing while Stefon Diggs might be more or of a rest situation. Buffalo just signed veteran receivers Kenny Stills and Tanner Gentry to their practice squad this week.
