Curtis Samuel is the weapon Bills offense needs

The start of the Bills offseason has been overpacked with talks of adding running back and defensive line help to put the Bills over the top.

Make no mistake, this is already fun. Many Bills fans have not experienced this type of offseason where the team is a Super Bowl contender.

The talk in BillsMafia land has been JJ Watt, Von Miller, Aaron Jones or Travis Etienne and Najee Harris in the draft. Rightfully so, those players are explosive but everyone is missing one weapon that can do it all for any offense.

Curtis Samuel.

The 2017 second round pick out of Ohio State can change any offense and shift any game in one play. He is what this Bills offense is missing.

I hate comparing everything to the Chiefs, but they are the standard in the AFC. With beating the Bills twice in 2020 and two straight Super Bowl appearances, Buffalo is chasing them.

Sure, we’ve all seen what Tampa Bay did with their defense to stop the high powered Chiefs offense. There’s no question Brandon Beane and his staff will address the defense and improve on the weaknesses. But adding Samuel is a big threat that can bring take this offense to another notch.

According to Spotrac, Samuel’s market value

  • 4 yrs, $49,966,076
  • Avg. Salary: $12,491,519

Beane said there won’t be much of a free agent splash, but with them showing interest in JJ Watt, should we throw that statement out the window?

Free agency starts in less than a month. Enjoy the ride.
