Beane knows Bills aren’t Super Bowl team yet

As always, Buffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane gave a lot of hints about the upcoming offseason.

Beane: “We have to be very honest where we’re at. We’re not a Super Bowl team. The goal here is to win that thing. It wasn’t good enough this year so we have to be very honest with what did we do well and where there are still some holes.”

He also said, “KC is excellent team and they were clearly better than us.”

On the impending decrease of the salary cap and where it puts the team: “There’s probably going to be some tough decisions” with the expected hit to the salary cap for next season.”

He put the Draft into focus on the offseason: “We’re going to have to draft well. This is going to be a free agency where we can’t be as aggressive.” Said he wouldn’t anticipate any blockbuster moves.

On his quarterback, Josh Allen: “I don’t think he’s reached his ceiling. I think there’s still growth for him.”

Beane says, “The goal next year is to HOST the AFC Championship game.”

On his linebacker Matt Milano, who is a free agent in March: “We’d love to have Matt [Milano] back… I’ve told him that.”
